The database and the web interface are flexible to integrate all modalities involved in image analysis and image base simulation. The doctor connects to the web application over a secure network and access is limited to registered users with valid passwords. The passwords are encrypted and stored in the database itself. The database allows doctors to search on different criteria: by patient, by simulation parameter and by technical notes. The result set allows to view the associated images or videos and download of the result set for further simulation and visualization tasks. |

The visualization is done with Visit software developed by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. It allows to display multidimensional data and to navigate synchronously in space and time between different modalities. It allows a surgeon to run a simulation and automatically have access to a predefined set of data.
